What is The Asia Records?
Asia Records is Asia’s official platform for documenting, verifying, and celebrating extraordinary achievements. Every record is assessed by a panel of judges, verified against five criteria, published in The Asia Records Book of Achievements, and presented at the annual Gala Night.
Who is behind Asia Records?
Asia Records is published under Armani Media Sdn Bhd, the same group behind Entrepreneur Insight and Property Insight, two of Malaysia’s most-read business publications. The group has been running media, awards, and events across Asia since 2014.
What kinds of achievements can be recognised?
Asia Records covers 11 fields: Business and Commerce, Science and Technology, Sports and Fitness, Entertainment and Media, Architecture and Construction, Food and Drink, Mass Participation and Events, Nature and Environment, Human Achievement, Arts and Creativity, and Education and Development.
About Nominations
How do I get a record with Asia Records?
You submit a nomination. Fill in the nomination form, tell us the record category and title you’re claiming, and our official adjudicator will consult with you.
How much does it cost?
The processing fee is RM1,000 per nomination. This covers the full audit, document review, and media coordination for approved records. The fee is non-refundable.
Can individuals apply, not just companies?
Yes. Asia Records recognises both individuals and organisations/companies.
What documents do I need to submit?
Generally, you’ll need your business registration, relevant industry licences, proof of brand or franchise ownership, and any document that confirms you have the authority and standing to claim this record. The exact requirements depend on your category.
How are records assessed?
How long does the process take?
The timeline depends on how quickly the required documents are submitted and the complexity of the audit process. You will be notified via email once a decision has been made. In most cases, results are released within 1 week after the completed submission.
What if my nomination is rejected?
We will share feedback on why your record attempt was unsuccessful and how the title can be improved for a stronger resubmission.
After Approval
What do I receive if my record attempt is successful?
You will receive three things:
- Presentation of the Asia Records Plaque at your event
- Invitation to The Biennial Asia Records Recognition Night
- Listing in The Asia Records Book of Achievements
What is the Biennial Asia Records Appreciation Night?
It’s the annual Asia Records award ceremony, where record holders are invited to receive their plaques on stage. You may also network with past record holders include Nintendo, Starbucks, AWS, HABIB, Affin Bank, Din Tai Fung, and more.
Is media coverage available both within and outside Malaysia?
Yes. Record holders recognised by The Asia Records receive media exposure through an extensive network of news and media platforms. Coverage within Malaysia includes 14 major outlets such as Bernama, Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, The Sun, Sin Chew Daily, China Press, KL Hype and Malaysia Gazette, along with video features on Utusan TV and Entrepreneur Insight.
Extended publicity packages are also available for wider regional exposure in markets such as China, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. China coverage includes 34 major media outlets, including CCTV, People’s Daily, and Xinhua, while Indonesia coverage features leading platforms such as Tribunnews, Liputan6, and Medcom.id.
