PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA – Village Park Restaurant has achieved a significant milestone after being recognised by The Asia Records for the “Most Nasi Lemak Sold in a Single Outlet.”

The recognition highlights the restaurant’s remarkable achievement of selling an average of approximately 10,000 plates of nasi lemak daily from its single outlet in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, making it one of Malaysia’s most celebrated dining destinations.

Presented in recognition of its exceptional sales volume and enduring popularity, the accolade acknowledges Village Park’s commitment to quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction over more than two decades of operation.

Founded in 2002 by Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd Shamil Ngoh Abdullah, the restaurant began with sales of just 10 plates of nasi lemak a day. Through unwavering dedication and a strong focus on maintaining standards, Village Park has grown into a household name among Malaysians and international visitors alike.

Despite the restaurant’s success, Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd Shamil continues to play an active role in the business, reportedly beginning his day as early as 4:00 a.m. to oversee food preparation and ensure every plate meets the expectations of customers.
